COLE BUCHMAN

I always thought my dream was to work in finance or accounting. It seemed like an appropriate dream, given I started as pre-Finance at Iowa State University and received my BA in Business Management from Simpson College. I gravitated toward finances, given my passion for financial literacy. But I kind of just felt meh. I yearned to learn more and desired to learn something different. And that’s when it happened; I landed in Executive Compensation through a mutual connection working for a Fortune 500 company. I get to work with numbers, special projects, and many different groups of people. You don’t always know who you will be working with or what unique project is coming next, and that’s what I love most.I enjoy learning new skills and have recently begun learning SQL and Python in my free time. I also enjoy spending time with my dog Bailey, traveling, spending time with family, and binge-watching the newest Netflix show.
